A shop window display hangs behind the glass and faces the street. To stay readable there it needs many times the brightness of a TV. smartenic supplies the SMARTENIC Vision HB for this: 3000 nits and automatic brightness control, in 32 to 65 inch. The fanless Vision HB Dual is the double-sided version: outside for passers-by, inside for customers in the store, with different content if you like. We advise, install and support in Austria and Slovakia, from Vienna and Bratislava.
What a shop window display has to do
High brightness at 3000 nits
Glass reflects, and daylight falls straight onto the window. An office display or TV looks grey and washed out there. At 3000 nits the picture stays strong even in afternoon sun.
Automatic brightness
A light sensor measures the surroundings and adjusts brightness. In the evening the display does not dazzle and uses less power than at full output.
Fanless when double-sided
The Vision HB Dual runs without a fan: no fan noise in the store its inner side faces. The single-sided Vision HB has four quiet, temperature-controlled fans.
Hanging installation
The display hangs freely behind the glass from the ceiling or a truss. The display area below stays usable.
Scheduled content
Menu at lunchtime, offer in the evening, something else at the weekend. Content via USB stick; the SMARTENIC Control cloud software is coming soon.

Single or double-sided display?
Both models have the same brightness towards the street. The question is whether anyone in the store looks at the back.

Frequently asked questions about shop window displays
How bright does a shop window display need to be?
Behind glass and in daylight a display needs far more brightness than indoors. The SMARTENIC Vision HB runs at 3000 nits towards the street, well above a typical TV. A light sensor dims it automatically when it gets dark.
What is a double-sided display?
A display with two screens back to back. The Vision HB Dual shows 3000 nits towards the street and 700 nits into the store. Both sides play the same or different content.
How much does a shop window display cost?
It depends on size, single or double-sided version, mounting, quantity, content management and installation. We give you the price for your configuration in writing in the quote.
Which sizes are available?
Vision HB and Vision HB Dual come in 32, 43, 49, 55 and 65 inch. The single-sided Vision HB 55 inch is currently in stock.
Can I hang a normal TV in the shop window?
It will run, but is barely readable behind the glass during the day and usually not built for many operating hours per day. A high brightness display is built for exactly this situation.
How is a shop window display installed?
It hangs freely behind the glass, usually from the ceiling or a truss. We look at the window first and decide on mounting, power supply and distance to the glass.
How does content get onto the display?
Via USB stick on the device. Coming soon: SMARTENIC Control in the browser, where you schedule content by time and weekday and control several branches centrally, separately for each side on the Dual.
Do you also install in Slovakia?
Yes. smartenic has offices in Bratislava and Vienna and installs in Austria and Slovakia.
